Description

The tides are the rise and fall of sea levels caused by the gravity of the moon and to a lesser extend the sun, and the moon orbiting the earth.

The tides are different in all locations. Some areas have not much tide differentiation at all. Like at the equator. The Poles have no tides. There can also be storm surges which may coincide with exceptional high tides and the waves coming into the shore can be huge and destructive.

Mayday is an international signal of distress. It is mainly used on planes or ships. In this instance I am inquiring who is in distress: Mother Nature – the storm, or the thinker, in the corner depicting Humankind. Is Humankinds’ constant lethargy, and disregard, for the abuse of earth affecting our weather pattern? Is it making our storms and winds more violent? Are Humankind ignoring natures signals of distress? Are we behaving like stone or bronze sculptures, with no thought or regard for future generations enjoyment of earth and it’s creatures?
