These chacma are also known as Cape baboons. They are one of the largest monkeys. They can be aggressive and be vicious to their predators. They have a complicated social structure. The female is extremely protective of her young.
These two sort refuge in my cousins garden in the Cape. The local male was not particularly happy with the birth of this male baby.
