Pink and Orange Protea

Description

This was one of my first protea. I became obsessed with painting protea. They are fascinating flowers. As they wither one is able to dissect them and see the intricate details of the layers of outer and inner bracts, the core, the styles with the pollen. They also have a very specific pattern with the styles and the stem base. By dissection one can understand the shape and capture more detail in one’s painting.
