Protea roupelliae I

Description

This beautiful specimen was cut from a tree in the Lydenberg, Mpumalanga area of South Africa. Daily, while painting the protea I noticed colour changes as it was drying and gradually deteriorating. The colours remained dramatic and seem to follow the colours of the rainbow.
